My off day.

You guys know what this will be about.
The only day of the week when I can do whatever the hell I want. My off day.
(I'll be working every other day of the week)
Why do I do this to myself?
I have no idea actually. Let's just say I have already accepted NTUC as part of my life HAHAHA

Okay back to topic. Met with shei in the morning for our "once-in-a-while-ly" fix of NERF.
It was an "intense" match as usual, most of the time we were hiding behind walls though.
Ended up losing (again) with a score of 3-5.. But today is a very important day in our NERF "career" because shei learnt the importance of "suppressive fire". :D

Also, the Alpha Trooper turned out to be a really great blaster. It is lightweight and versatile, and it just feels different from the Retaliator in terms of ergonomics.
Being in a combat situation made me realise that the slam-fire feature was not really useful.. I end up firing single shots most of the time. But with the capability of a high RoF, I think I felt (a little) more confident when using it.
  
Also, I figured out a way not to overheat the motors of my Rayven.. With a home-made conducting strip to replace the battery.
Made of fastener and some bending. It's a sturdy fit so I'm glad the idea came pass my mind (idk how though).
Now it runs on 12.6V. Still noisy but I hope I can match up to shei's blaster soon :D
Oh before the match, we tried to emulate multiplayer Daytona USA using the m2 emulator and I'm happy to say that: IT WORKS. (8P play is now possible)
Other than the game being a little glitchy and the "no steering wheel" controls, it's actually pretty smooth.
FYI: Since this game is supposed to be controlled with a steering wheel, the controls on the keyboard is vastly different and sometimes "uncontrollable" (one press on the L/R button means a full bank on an ACTUAL steering wheel)
We actually played that shit for a few hours.. and poof. OFF DAY IS GONE.

BACK TO REALITY

.. and the reality is, nothing has changed..

 Typical marketing strategy these days. Okay anyway, I encountered the signboard on my way to checking out the game shop last Friday with Speed, Sheep Marcus and Theng. Speed suggested a brand new hobby to relieve my "always so short" temper, and it's Warhammer (google it up if you wish). It's some mini scaled war (board) game that consisted of really cool playing pieces which includes futuristic soldiers, gigantic insects, undead and really cool stuff. The kick of this is to paint your own playing pieces using a really fine brush... And let's just say the average playing piece is only slightly larger than your thumb. Training for patience indeed. But the cost of just to start the hobby kind of turned me off. LOL Like around $50 just to get a starting army. It's really cool to get into a hobby like that with your friends, so I'm thinking of getting it for real when I have extra cash towards the end of the year. Speaking of $50. FINALLY FIN...

2015 at a glance..

Hey peeps. 2015 has indeed been a hell of a year. I graduated from poly, worked at a nice place, went overseas, got enlisted, blah blah blah Since I have some time now I can talk about them one by one.. I HARDLY HAVE TIME 3 years in Ngee Ann was indeed fun. Now that I think about it, if I went to SP, I'll never get to meet this bunch of fuckers who mean so much to me during my time in poly. We lepak together, sing k together, eat together and etc etc. By the way, "etc" means "end of thinking capacity" HAHAHAHA They're all grown up now and busy with their own lives (3 signed on to the air force, jeez), and we hardly have time for one another which is kinda sad..
